Born and raised in Hyderabad, India, I was drawn to computer science from an early age. Driven to deepen my understanding, I pursued a Master’s in Computer Science from Virginia International University in Fairfax, VA. This academic foundation laid the groundwork for my professional endeavors, equipping me with the skills and expertise to tackle complex challenges head-on. 

 

My career took flight at IBM Ltd in my hometown of Hyderabad, where I honed my craft as a Senior Software Engineer. During this formative period, I learned to appreciate the value of teamwork, attention to detail, and an unwavering commitment to quality. I delivered production releases, often under tight deadlines, which instilled a deep sense of pride and determination in me and contributed significantly to the company’s success. 

 

Seeking new horizons, I ventured to Malaysia, joining MyEG Services Berhad as a Senior Software Engineer. This experience allowed me to further refine my technical prowess and contribute innovative solutions that propelled the company forward. My work fostered a collaborative spirit and contributed to the company’s growth, demonstrating my ability to drive progress through innovative solutions. 

 

In 2014, my journey took an exciting turn as I embarked on a new chapter in the United States, joining Fannie Mae as a Software Engineering Consultant in Herndon, VA. Here, I showcased my versatility by designing and developing web applications, automating manual processes, and implementing cost-cutting measures. These initiatives drove efficiency and productivity, significantly impacting the organization’s operations. 

 

My talents were quickly recognized, and in 2015, I joined Capital One Financials in Richmond, VA, as a Software Engineering Manager. Over the next seven years, I left an indelible mark on the organization through my technical contributions and as a leader. I recruited and nurtured top talent, designed and developed AWS cloud control guidelines, and led the team in developing cloud custodian rules for compliance. However, my crowning achievement at Capital One was architecting the design and development of the SWIFT Wire transfer application for migration to the cloud, ensuring resiliency and availability across regions. 

 

In 2022, I embarked on my current role as a Software Development Manager at Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Richmond, VA. Here, I push boundaries, leading cross-functional teams in agile software development, digital migrations, and process improvements. I recently led the migration of Frontier applications to Electron, developed a comprehensive end-to-end testing strategy for Frontier Annual Planning, and transformed Sales Hierarchy models to enhance customer visibility. These initiatives have significantly improved our operations and customer experience at AWS. 

 

Throughout my journey, I have amassed an impressive array of certifications, including AWS Certified Security Specialty, AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, Cloudera Certified Developer for Apache Hadoop, Oracle Certified Professional Java SE 6 Programmer, TOGAF, and ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management. These certifications attest to my technical prowess and reflect my commitment to continuous learning and professional growth. 

 

Beyond my professional achievements, I have made significant contributions to the tech community through my publications, sharing my expertise on advanced access control in Amazon DynamoDB and embracing local development in serverless AWS. 

 

With a wealth of experience, a keen eye for innovation, and a deep-rooted passion for technology, I continue to inspire and lead teams, driving the industry forward with my unwavering dedication and exceptional skills.
