Brittany Taggart — SCL Health - Senior Instructional Designer

Name: Brittany Taggart, CIT, CRP

Position: Lead Education Architect – Quality, Metrics and Methods

Company: Intermountain Health

I have spent 9 years in the Learning and Development community working  in various iterations of learning and development based roles in the healthcare industry. As a lead Education Architect, I practice analyzing, designing, developing and Implementing training, using industry-best tools everyday. I currently focus on quality, metrics and methods in learning and development, and coach learning and development talent all over the organization. I facilitate professional learning and development certification programs at Intermountain Health, in partnership with other learning industry leaders. I spend much of my time evaluating training programs and working to show the value of training using proven methods, and using 5 levels of evaluation. Ultimately, I practice with the notion that training, when done right, is not only “worth it” to the organization, but it has the ability to return real monetary value and a return on the investment. I find purpose in also evaluating the intangible values training provides, such as partnership, collaboration and trust within work groups.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy the mountains I live in by going hiking, fishing, paddle boarding, camping, riding ATVs or just listening to nature. As a lifelong learner myself, I am grateful to be a part of this learning and development community of practice, and enjoy reading about the best of the best in the industry!
