Akiri Gurram — Walmart Global Tech - Software Engineer III

With my diverse background in software development, extensive experience working at Walmart Global tech company, and involvement in two budding startups early in my career, I am confident in my ability to provide valuable insights to the judging panel.

In addition to my professional experience, I hold an advanced degree (M.S.) in Computer Science from Missouri State University, coupled with a Bachelor’s in Engineering. My academic journey has equipped me with a strong foundation in technology and innovation, further complementing my practical experiences in the startup ecosystem.

During my time at Early Career, I actively participated in startup accelerator programs and also worked on Startups, immersing myself in the entrepreneurial culture and gaining firsthand experience in the intricacies of building and scaling innovative ventures. These experiences have instilled in me a deep appreciation for the challenges faced by startups and a passion for supporting emerging entrepreneurs on their path to success.

Throughout my career, I have been deeply involved in building full-stack web and mobile applications, crafting robust database designs, and implementing data pipelines for migration and data warehousing purposes. These technical skills, combined with my academic background and startup experience, uniquely position me to provide informed and constructive feedback to aspiring entrepreneurs.

I am particularly drawn to the mission of Brandon Hall awards and its commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship. As a judge, I am eager to leverage my expertise to evaluate and mentor startups, helping them refine their ideas and navigate the challenges of building successful ventures.
