Saurabh Gupta is the Senior Engineering Manager at Edelman Financial Engines, where he leads a global team of engineers to build data platform and systems that provides the data to different client systems. Saurabh has over 15 years of experience in software industry. He started as an individual contributor and has been leading and mentoring teams for last 6+ years delivering impactful projects, shaping different products journey, mentoring engineers, business people and grooming future leaders.

He has a speciality in architecting and designing engineering systems, both web applications and data engineering systems. He has led successful projects building a data platform that supports key marketing and legal communications to 15M+ users supporting over $300B+ in Assets Under Management. In past, he had also worked on architecting, designing & delivering key systems that provides portfolio optimization and simulation metrics to the users.

Saurabh holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from NCSU where he also worked on a graphs crossing problem as a part of his Masters thesis. He has also gained certifications from Cornell (Leadership), Scrum org, Amazon Web Services, Databricks and Apache.

Saurabh has a passion for improving existing solutions and finding gaps thus identifying new areas and opportunities to add value. He has 6 approved US patents and multiple publications in IP.com and some papers coming out of his Masters research work.

Outside of work, Saurabh is dedicated to mentoring emerging engineers and advancing innovation in the tech industry.
