I have been working with Cisco Systems (2011—present). I started in India and moved to the USA in 2016. Within this tenure, I have taken up multiple roles in the company in different domains eg. Roles and Responsibilities: Enabling Secure Campus Networking and Revenue Growth (2023 – Present) 

 

  • I developed and delivered Proof of Value (POV) experiences for pre-sales motion, driving revenue growth.

o I was responsible for creating and delivering compelling POV experiences that demonstrated the value of Cisco’s secure 

o campus networking solutions to potential customers. 

o I lead customer workshops on complex cross-integration across Cisco products to support sales motion. 

o My PoVs and video labs have helped thousands of practitioners embrace Cisco technology and influenced the deals positively. 

o I am a Cisco Live 2024 speaker that is less than 5% of the entire Cisco workforce.

Roles and Responsibilities: Driving Digital Transformation and Intent-Based Networking (2019 – 2023) 

 

  • I designed and implemented intent-based network designs for Cisco’s CZ Campus and seven branch offices.

o I was responsible for creating and deploying network designs that aligned with business objectives and enabled automated, intent-based network operations. 

o The significance of my work was that it served as the blueprint for Cisco’s global digital transformation, driving operational efficiency and cost savings. 

 

  • I led an Agile team driving the adoption of Cisco DNA Center, ISE, and other controller solutions.

o I was responsible for managing a cross-functional team to drive the adoption of Cisco’s latest controller solutions, enabling centralized network management and automation. 

o The significance of my leadership was that it resulted in a 50% reduction in network management costs as we were able to retire third-party management tools and use Cisco DNA Center.

Roles and Responsibilities: Trusted advisor for Cisco’s Fortune 100 companies and Tier 1 service providers 

 

  • I Designed and deployed enterprise and service providers network projects in the Americas. Worked as a project design and implementation lead for Service Providers, Enterprise, and DC networks with customer projects/engagements of 1+ year.

o Conducted customer workshops to understand the low-level requirements of their network. Prepared network design and implementation plan documents while performing configuration and migration plan documents. 

o Executed Service and Network Migrations and provided recommended network configuration to specifications. 

o Increased profit margin and significantly reduced man-hour requirements by identifying common elements of projects and automating them. Implemented a boot camp to ensure all engineers were aware of the standardized delivery approach for similar scope projects received from multiple other customers in Cisco AS services. 

o Developed a low-cost SaaS-based solution for lab recreation, enabling engineers to easily access and validate their design and implementation without incurring high costs. As a result, nearly all AS projects now utilize the test bed for design validation, and the availability of cookie cutter designs has facilitated faster delivery to customers. 

 

 

SIGNIFICANT PERFORMANCE 

 

 

Facilitating Cisco’s Acquisition of ThousandEyes (2020) 

 

  • I was part of the executive team that facilitated Cisco’s billion-dollar acquisition of ThousandEyes.

o I was responsible for providing technical and strategic input throughout the acquisition process, ensuring a smooth integration and maximizing synergies. 

o The significance of my involvement was that it contributed to a successful acquisition, which expanded Cisco’s portfolio and generated millions of dollars in new revenue in the first year. 

 

Maintaining CCIE Certification Status for 10 Years (2013 – 2023) and Added New Certificates 

 

  • I maintained my Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification status for 10 consecutive years.

o I was responsible for staying current with the latest networking technologies and passing rigorous recertification exams every two years. 

o The significance of this achievement is that it demonstrates my commitment to continuous learning and maintaining the highest level of expertise in enterprise networking. 

o I have AWS, Oracle, and ISC2 certifications in the last 5 years to keep me current and competitive in a rapidly changing landscape. 

 

Giving Back to Technical Community (2018 – present) 

 

  • I created and grew a YouTube channel, SDN Tech Forum, to over 4,000 subscribers.

o I was responsible for producing and sharing high-quality content on the latest networking technologies, trends, and best practices.
