Vrushank Mistry — Air Systems Inc. - BAS Field Engineer

With a robust career spanning over six years, I am currently a BAS Field Engineer at Air Systems Inc., CA, specializing in the commissioning and programming of various HVAC control systems. Since September 2021, I have played a pivotal role in key projects like the Google Bayview Campus and multiple buildings on Tasman Drive in San Jose, CA. My responsibilities encompass a wide range of technical tasks, including point-to-point checks, DDC programming, BMS database management, and network configuration for HVAC systems. 

 

Previously, as a Controls Project Engineer at ABM Systems Inc., NY (August 2016 – September 2021), I honed my skills in similar domains, contributing to significant projects such as the Newark Airport Terminal 1 and multiple high-rise buildings in New York. My expertise extends to project management, site commissioning, preventive maintenance, and emergency troubleshooting, underlining my proactive approach and leadership in managing multiple projects. 

 

Academically, I hold a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the City University of New York, complemented by a PMP certification, underscoring my commitment to professional development and excellence in project management. 

 

Passionate about building automation in HVAC controls, I am always eager to expand my knowledge and skills in my profession. My expertise in building automation is not just a professional commitment but also a personal interest, driving me to explore and innovate in this field continually. 

 

I bring a blend of technical proficiency, project management acumen, and a keen interest in building automation to any role I undertake. My goal is to leverage my experience and skills to contribute significantly to panels, awards, and conferences, offering insights and expertise in the ever-evolving realm of HVAC controls and building automation systems.
