I am Orhan Dogan, a seasoned technology executive and entrepreneur with over two decades of experience in software development, system architecture, and team leadership. My passion for technology, which sparked during my high school years, has propelled my career, allowing me to master my craft and push the boundaries of innovation. 

 

I embarked on my professional journey in 1999 as a Software Developer and soon transitioned into entrepreneurship in 2002. I co-founded a startup and served as the CTO, where I developed a comprehensive software solution for Eskidji Real Estate’s 182 branch offices. This was one of my earliest complex technical challenges that set the tone for the significant contributions I would make throughout my career. 

 

At Sahibinden.com, Turkey’s leading listing site, I played a pivotal role in transforming the platform’s technical infrastructure. I led the shift from proprietary systems to cost-effective and scalable open-source systems, enabling the platform to handle daily transactions seamlessly and reducing operational costs significantly. 

 

I also held a crucial role at GittiGidiyor.com, during its transformative phase when the company was acquired by eBay for $220 million. I spearheaded performance optimizations for handling high-volume traffic, contributing significantly to the company during this period. 

 

In 2018, I expanded my professional horizons beyond Turkey, taking on leadership roles in startups based in Dubai and Egypt. At Homzmart, I led the complete re-engineering of the platform’s infrastructure, a significant factor that helped the company secure a $23 million investment. 

 

Throughout my career, I have consistently leveraged cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions. I have honed expertise across a wide range of technologies, including Linux, Java, PHP, Python, Nodejs, C#, Golang, Swift, SQL, NoSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Nginx, Redis, Git, Microservice Architecture, and Jira, using these tools to deliver scalable and robust solutions. 

 

I specialize in System Architecture, Scalability, High Availability, Security, Software and Product development, Team Building, and Management. I have managed teams ranging from 7 to 250 people, showcasing proficiency in physical data center and server setups, cloud systems like AWS, and conducting numerous internal technical trainings.
